A newly appointed chief of a small town police station, struggles to deal with her own problems of alcoholism. She becomes enmeshed in a twisted case of a timid teenage girl, who is bullied by her schoolmates and beaten by her alcoholic stepfather. The policewoman takes the girl in out of pity, but trouble brews when the policewoman’s girlfriend arrives.
