Anna, an orphan raised in a convent, is preparing to take her vows when she pays a visit to her aunt Wanda, a cynical hard-drinking judge in 1960s Communist Poland. Wanda reveals that Ida’s parents were Jews, murdered by the Nazis. Subsequently he two women embark on an unusual journey to unearth their family’s dark history.
This film will be preceded by Rúbaí, a short film by Louise Ní Fhiannachta.
